Sketch
This is a sketch I did in my art class. We have to do certain number of sketches each month and this is one of my favorites. My drawings are always very simple and the thing I like to draw the most is people with sunglasses. I like to draw and every time I do something I like, I put a lot of effort. This sketch was done in one afternoon but it wasn't easy to complete it. Previous to this final draft I did several other sketches making things better each time.
I love to do sketches because I can do whatever I want. This sketch was only done with pencil but the materials I used were: paper, a pencil, an eraser and a pencil sharpener. half portrait
This project was done in art class. It was an in-class work so we did this in the classroom. The project consisted on drawing the other side of the picture. We took a picture of our whole face and cut through the middle of it. Then we had to draw the other side to complete our face. The materials we used for this task were: pencils, bending sticks, cardboard and a camera. This project was hard to do and we had to put our best effort on it. This task required organization too because we had to organize our time in order to have it finished by the due date.
The process included: taking the picture, printing it on black&white, cutting the picture in half, gathering materials, drawing the other half (outline), putting emphasis on small details and finally doing the background and signing on the bottom of the page. I really liked the Half Portrait assignment because I practiced skills as an artist and also as a responsable student since I had to be organized and careful with my work. This project was individual and each student had to make his/her own face, I chose the left side of my face to draw because details were more challenging and I wanted to make myself put effort.
